SmoovGroovs: Turntables and Keys [Live]
This video is pretty much an introduction of what I have on deck musically this year. I’m planning to maximize the potential of my skills and applying it to live performance. It feels like anyone can be a DJ these days, I mean, they’re selling DJ beginner packs at Best Buy now. I know there’s a whole buncha opinions about Serato and digital DJing, but since it came out, I feel like product is easier to make and release. Me and my homies like to call em MICROWAVE DJS (mix songs for 30 min, record, it and release it).
With today’s technology, you needa figure out ways to stand apart from the microwave DJ. Use technology to it’s advantage and don’t just blend 2 songs together because they’re BPMs match, Get creative!
Shout out to mother nature for literally making it RAIN in the Bay Area this weekend. There’s sommthin’ abut the rain that always gives us a sense of inspiration in one way or the other…cleansing, spoonin under the sheets with your loverton, nostalgia, whatever it may be, this weekend’s weather definitely struck up some inspiration to make this beat…hope ya’ll can dig it!

I finally exposed my ears to dubstep earlier this year, and damn…its one crazy music genre. I love the rhythms and how intricate the patterns can get.
Heres one of my first Dubstep type beats I made. I LOVE lush string sounds and chords so I decided to lace em over some Dubstep type drum patterns. This’ll be on my upcoming beat tape droppin’ soon. Hope y’all can dig it!

SmoovGroovs: Sunday Jawn Hopped on the good ol’ Motif when I awoke from slumber and decided to lace up a quick little Sunday Morning groove. Really simple structure.
