Musical Nostalgia

Before there was mp3 file sharing and the burning of CDs, there were cassette tapes. I remember buying this exact brand from the Wherehouse whenever I would make mixtapes for people. However, a mixtape for a friend wasn’t on the same level as a mixtape for someone you liked. In other words, if you liked someone, you made sure that everything about the mixtape was official. This ranged from making sure that the last song on side A or B wasn’t cut off, all the way to being certain that each track faded out properly. In some cases, if I only had about 2 minutes left on one side of the tape, I would put a dope interlude to make sure I didn’t waste any space. In any case, this post is dedicated to ”all the girls I loved before” and never got with.
